I am a Psychiatrist and medically trained and I have achieved some excellent results where patients/ clients have been prescribed medication. I often recommend a course of treatment with medication, although this is by no means compulsory.
Medication can allow an individual to “get a foot on the first rung of the ladder”. It can be a bridge to get back to good health.
In addition to medication, many other types of treatment are important. These include counselling, CBT, EMDR, long-term psychotherapy, occupational therapy, social groups, relapse prevention therapy and exercise therapy.
Each patient/ client will be very involved in developing their own wellness package.
